We know that when you choose camping, you’re looking to relax and spend time in the great outdoors. To make your getaway even better, we offer all of our guests a variety of amenities during their stay. Once you go camping at Pigeon River Campground, you won’t want to experience the Great Smoky Mountains any other way!

Outdoor Activities

Horseshoes hanging from a tree.

When you stay at Pigeon River Campground, there’s so many outdoor activities to enjoy! Aside from the nearby rafting, horseback riding and ziplines, our campground offers a jumping pillow, volleyball, horseshoes and cornhole. We’re also close to hiking, biking and dog friendly trails in the National Park, Cherokee, and Pisgah National Forests. At dinnertime, you can sit around the outdoor grill and fire up dinner. After dinner, grab some firewood and gather around a fire pit to roast marshmallows into the evening.

Swimming Pool

When the weather is hot, there’s no better way to cool off than by taking a dip in the swimming pool! At 4 feet deep, everyone can relax and enjoy the water after a fun day spent outside! Around the pool, you’ll find tables and chairs covered by umbrellas, lounge chairs and a large tanning deck–all available for you to use!

General Store

Did you happen to forget something for your stay? Or maybe you’re looking for a snack and drink? Stop by our general store where we have camping supplies and other items you may need for your stay! We also offer ready-to-enjoy snacks, such as pizza, hot chocolate, coffee, slushies, canned adult drinks, and more.

Freshly laundered towels.

Dirty clothes? No problem! For your convenience, we offer 2 sets of coin-operated laundry machines. In our laundry area, you will also find sinks and folding tables, so all of your laundry can be done as quickly as possible.
