4 Reasons Why Our Smoky Mountain Campground is the Best Way to Experience the Smokies
Camping is a unique experience everyone should do at least once. If you’re thinking about going camping when you visit the Smoky Mountains, you definitely should! There are plenty of reasons why staying at our campground is the best way to experience the Smoky Mountains. Once you stay with us, you won’t want to do it any other way! Here are 4 reasons why our Smoky Mountain campground is the best way to experience the Smokies:
1. Stay Out in Nature
When you’re in a hotel or a cabin, you’re probably still close to civilization. When you stay at our Smoky Mountain campground, you will enjoy being out in nature. Whether you are tent camping, renting a camping cabin, or staying in an RV, you will be closer to nature. Just open the door and you’re surrounded by trees, a creek, and open sky. If you’ve never been out in the middle of the woods, there’s nothing more relaxing than spending time outdoors, especially for the majority of your trip!
2. Away from Town
Many people enjoy being close to fun things to do in town, but the downside to staying in a hotel or cabin close to Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg is all the noise. You’ll hear cars driving throughout the day, and you’ll have to deal with traffic. Not to mention, you’re surrounded by people. While you probably will have neighbors at our campground, it won’t feel as cramped and crowded when compared to staying somewhere else.
3. Close to Fun Activities
Although you may have to drive a little ways to get to Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg, you’re still close to exciting activities you’ll want to try! Our Smoky Mountain campground is a short drive from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. In the park, you can take a scenic drive through Cades Cove, one of the most popular destinations within the park. There are over 850 miles of hiking trails, ranging from easy to difficult. If you love to fish, you won’t have to go very far to enjoy this activity! If you have your license, you can fish in the river on our property. We’re also close to white water rafting, a great family activity you’ll want to try, as well as ziplining. There are so many fun things you can do that makes staying at our campground great!
4. Private River Access
If you stop at one of the many areas where you can stick your toes in the water in the national park, you’ll probably find many other families there too. At our campground in the Smoky Mountains, you’ll have private river access. Spending time in the creek is a great way to experience the Smokies. Kids love splashing around in the water, as well as animals if you bring your pet with you! It’s a great way to cool off in the summer. Plus, if you have your fishing license, you can fish in the river too!
