4 Reasons to Go Camping in the Smoky Mountains in the Summer
Sometimes the best vacations are the ones that make you completely unplug from everything. The ones that bring you closer to nature and give you a better appreciation for the world around you. Summer is the best time to go camping because you don’t have to worry about cold weather! Plus, there are so many things to do in during the summer months! Still not convinced about spending your summer vacation in the Smokies? Here’s why you should go camping in the Smoky Mountains this summer:
1. Dew in the Morning
One of the best things about waking up in the morning when you go camping is the smell of dew in the air. And sometimes your pillow will smell like that all day. Plus, if you’re one of those people that likes to sleep on the cold side of the pillow, when it’s covered in morning dew, you’re a winner all around! Just remember to bring enough shoes and a few extra pairs of socks. It’s all worth it for the fresh morning air while you’re camping in the Smoky Mountains!
2. Campfires
It really is the simple things in life that make it all worthwhile. A campfire is great to cook your meals and to make the best treat ever: s’mores. But the smell of a wood burning in a fire pit is the epitome of camping. There’s no better reason to go camping in the Smoky Mountains! Plus, the embers whirling through the air have their own kind of allure to them. Remember to put your fires out before you go to bed! It would also be a good idea to have a light jacket with you. When the sky is clear and you can see every star in the sky, you’re guaranteed a cool night ahead of you!
3. Camping Cabins
For those who may be a bit worried about tent camping, worry no more! We have camping cabins available for rent. You get all of the basic amenities of the campground with a few extra included in the cabin.
